I think baking bread can be considered a type of entertainment as the process of preparing dough and baking is full of enjoyment. I hope you make this delicious bread and enjoy its delicious flavor with your family.
Ingredients
    • Flour: 1 and 3/4 cup
    • Butter: 1/8 cup or 2 tbsp
    • Salt: 1/8 tsp
    • Egg: 1
    • Sugar: 1/8 cup or 2 tbsp
    • Yeast: 1 tsp
  • Milk: 1/3 cup
Instructions
    1. In a large bowl, mix flour and salt together, sift 3 times and set aside.
    1. Now combine sugar, yeast and warm milk, stir and let it sit for 10 minutes to dissolve.
    1. During this time, mix the rest of ingredients: sugar, egg and melted butter and whisk until you have a nice smooth mix.
    1. Now, add your yeast mixture to your butter mixture and mix it well.
    1. At the end add your flour slowly and start kneading your bread dough (you can also use stand mixer if you have dough paddle)
    1. At this step: transfer your dough to a floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic.
    1. Place in a clean bowl, cover with a cloth or wrap and let rise in a warm place until doubled in volume. (about 1 to 1 1/2 hours.)
    1. Grease a baking sheet or use parchment paper. Punch down the dough and divide it into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece to form a long, thin strip.
    1. Braid each pair together and fold ends of the rolls from both side to hold them in place.
    1. Cover loosely and let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
    1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Brush the top of the breads with yolk and sprinkle with the sesame seeds. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
  1. Once baked transfer to a wire rack, let them cool before serving.
